Thirty Makers, One Roof

A 3D-print shop on Shaw Avenue that became a home base for local makers, a full calendar of classes, and a business model worth learning from.

Today our road trip brought us to TCC: 3D Prints, Gifts & More in Clovis. I came to see the local vendors, and I left with a notebook full of ideas.

Much of that is thanks to Tami, who was wonderful to talk with and so generous with her time. The more she shared about how the shop works, the more I realized I was looking at a really smart small business, and one with a lot to teach anyone who makes, bakes, or teaches for a living.

A Gift Shop That Works Like an Incubator

From the sidewalk, TCC looks like a gift shop. Inside, it works more like a small-business incubator. The shop has its roots in 3D printing, and printed figures, busts and toys are tucked all over the store. But the real story is on the banner out front: more than 30 local vendors, all under one roof.

Most home bakers, tea blenders and crafters can’t take on a storefront by themselves. Here they get shelf space, steady foot traffic and a shop team running the register. Even this seasonal table pulls crochet, candles, bows, kids’ denim and 3D prints from different makers into one story.

A Reason to Come Back

Fresh inventory, a full event calendar, and a community invested in its success.

The community has noticed. TCC was named a 2026 People's Choice winner in The Fresno Bee's Best of Central California.

Some makers stock the shelves, some teach in the classroom, and a few do both. Together they give people a reason to keep coming back.

Soups, Skillets and 100+ Ways to Use a Dip Mix

You know where I went first. Stirred Kitchen Co. fills a whole wall with kitchen mixes: soups like Tomato Basil and Pot Pie, skillet meals like Beef Stroganoff and Lemon Herb Chicken, beer bread in Jalapeño and Garlic & Herb, dessert mixes, slushie mixes and a long row of dip blends.

Their sign promises 100+ ways to use those dip mixes, and I love that framing. A good dried herb blend was never only for dip. It is a dry rub, a salad dressing base, a seasoning for roasted vegetables.

Tea, Dressed Up for Company

Mabel Esther Trading Co. may have the prettiest shelf in the store. Their mocktail infusion kits bundle loose-leaf tea, a flavored sugar for the rim, botanical garnishes, a strainer and a recipe booklet, in flavors like Ginger Peach, Hibiscus Rose and Front Porch Fizz.

Their Mason Jar Matcha skips the whisk altogether. It all happens in a jar: add the matcha and warm water, shake, then pour over ice and top with milk.

Desserts & Decorating Classes

Cookies on the Counter, Classes on the Calendar

Brandi Cakes Desserts keeps a little cubby case of wrapped cookies in flavors like Strawberry Shortcake, Funfetti and Chocolate Chip. Above it sits a schedule of cookie and cake decorating classes from September through December, with sessions for adults, for kids and for all ages.

This is the TCC model in one display. Customers taste the product, meet the baker and sign up to learn.

Not everything here is edible. A bright front corner is packed with houseplants, and the coffee wall carries bags from Reverent Coffee Company and other roasters, right next to a “Barkuterie” of treats for the dogs at home.

The Back Room Is the Business Plan

Walk through the shop and you will find a bright classroom with a big shared table, a wall-mounted screen, craft kits and shelves of 3D-printed busts waiting to be painted. This room makes the whole model hum. Classes bring new people through the door, makers build a following, and the shelves get a second look on the way out.

The October calendar alone includes crochet, a sip-and-stitch Halloween garland, a kids’ 3D-printed haunted scene, an intro to 3D printing and a chocolate cookie haunted house.

Three Ideas Worth Borrowing

  • Teaching builds customers. When people learn a skill from a maker, they understand the product and trust the person behind it.
  • Collaboration beats competition. Thirty small businesses sharing one space are stronger together, and each maker brings their own following through the door.
  • A calendar is a reason to return. Something new every week turns first-time visitors into regulars.
